Don't miss the arts and cultural extravaganza at the 12th Festival of Pacific Arts Guam 2016 this May and June. 27 countries will be participating in this special event held May 22 to June 4, 2016. The Festival of the Pacific Arts is held only once every four years and brings together some of the world's talented artists and cultural practitioners for two weeks of festivities around the Pacific region.
Attending this festival will give you a chance to learn about cultural traditions form several Pacific Island countries and territories including New Zealand, Solomon Islands, the Northern Mariana Islands and Tonga. The 2016 festival is hosted in Guam and will showcase Guam's unique Chamorro culture while telling the rich history of the country.
This year's theme represents the Chamorro, the indigenous people of the Mariana Islands. Join the celebration by watching dance performances, seeing artist exhibits, and enjoying some traditional island food throughout the festival celebration.
