Jiivana Spa - Guam Hotels - Pacific Islands Club Guam

(Tumon, GUAM) – Pacific Islands Club – Guam is pleased to announce the opening of Guam’s first well-being spa – JIIVANA Spa for Well-Being. Located within the resort’s 22-acre property, JIIVANA is owned and operated by Pacific Islands Club - Guam. JIIVANA is a Sanskrit word that means “life”, relating to the essence of the mind, body and soul of an individual. JIIVANA Spa for Well-Being was created with an individual’s vitality in mind.
“Pacific Islands Club – Guam is proud to offer this latest investment in Guam’s visitor industry,” says Bart Jackson, General Manager for Pacific Islands Club – Guam. “As PIC provides this new and invigorating option, we hope that JIIVANA is a source of relaxation and revitalization for our visitors while enjoying the island of Guam.”

JIIVANA is the first and only spa on Guam to offer the Far Infrared (FIR) sauna (a sauna that utilizes ceramic or metallic elements to emit heat in the far infrared range as opposed to traditional steam saunas – offering benefits such as regeneration of lung tissue, weight loss, reduced blood sugar and blood pressure, decreased cholesterol and increased circulation) and healing experiences (based on reconnective healing practices, light frequencies and “reiki” or life energy). The healing experiences can be of benefit for clarity, relaxation, personal balance, reconnection to the essence of who you are, positive state of health, easing of tension and stress, facilitates healing on all levels, enhanced well-being and a deepening sense of happiness.

“JIIVANA Spa for Well-Being was created to provide a place where visitors can take the time to honor themselves and escape with a purpose,” says Ron Romero, JIIVANA Spa Director. “Ancient healing traditions are the cornerstone of JIIVANA’S unique and comprehensive approach to “mindful touch”, detoxification and healing. The focus is to offer a variety of alternative modalities, experiences and practices that are not typically accessible to the community. A range of options are available to meet each individuals needs and promote a balanced life.”

Each massage and body and healing experience commences with a 15 minute relaxing aromatic footbath, providing the customer and therapist time to discuss the specific needs and desired results of the experience. The experience is then followed by a complete 60, 90 or 120 minute service. Treatments in the massage and body experiences range from acupressure, aromatherapy, scalp massage, foot soak and exfoliation, pre-natal massage, reflexology and craniosacral therapy.

Detoxification experiences offered include Aqua Chi detoxification foot bath, ear candling (a natural remedy for wax build-up, swimmer’s ear, itching ears, vertigo and allergies) and water therapies. Benefits such as the removal of toxins, increased liver and kidney function and decreased inflammation can result from these treatments.
JIIVANA’s lush and tropical landscaping incorporates the organic healing power of nature, synergistically with our masterfully trained and educated therapists. Every therapist is licensed with the U.S. National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. JIIVANA also has a certified yoga instructor who teaches the yoga and fitness classes, which include Vinyasa Flow level 1 and 2, hot yoga, boot camp, morning meditation and Om circle and a beach walk.

Additionally to sustain a connection to one’s highest health-giving potential, the JIIVANA lifestyle shop provides an array of conscious products to support one on their journey to well-being. Essential oils, aromatic misters, local artwork, bath salts, sugar scrubs and energy-infused jewelry are some of the items available.

"I have personally enjoyed first rate experiences at JIIVANA Spa for Well-Being and appreciate the vast array of services they offer. The expertise that JIIVANA has to offer is incomparable to many of the places I've ventured. Aubrey takes good care of you from the moment you enter the door and even as you make your appointment over the phone. She can help guide your decision on the type of services you need and who to pair you up with. The beauty is that all your therapists know anatomy and physiology so there is little chance of injury. And there is no second guessing when you can communicate with a therapist who understands what you need, even when you don't."
